How our Virtual Assistant support works

    Once you’ve established that we’re the right fit and you’d like to go ahead – and we’ve sent a celebratory message in our internal Slack channel – we’ll set up a detailed introduction call with our founder Mary. In this call, we’ll ascertain your needs and areas of support.

    With that information, we’ll return to the team and assess a number of factors including capacity, relevant previous experience and suitability. Then, we’ll select the best team member and introduce you to each other properly! (If you’d prefer to meet a few of our team members, we can arrange this – but we’ve got a pretty good knack for this.)

    Once the proposal is accepted and the contract is signed, we’ll arrange an onboarding call to get all the foundations secured: gaining access to any software or platforms, agreeing on tasks, and putting an initial 3 month plan together.

    Then, we get plugged into all the systems and get going! We’re happy to adopt any tools you’re currently using, and can always make suggestions for tools that might help if nothing is already in place.

    This goes for communications, too: however your brain works, we’ll slot into. We keep in touch with clients on all platforms incl. Slack, Whatsapp, Voxer, and email!

Frequently Asked Questions about our Virtual Assistant Support

Can I book a one-off project, or do you only work on retainer?

All of our work is totally bespoke, so we can work on a one off project and tailor something to fit your needs and support.

What’s the minimum commitment for working with a Virtual Assistant?

There’s no minimum commitment, but we do always recommend giving it a go for at least 3 months to be able to clearly see the effect of support taking place.

How do you ensure consistency and quality in your services?

We have regular team check-ins internally with senior team members and our founder, Mary, as well as team training and lunch-and-learns to help us continuously develop our skills and stay ahead of the game.

What if my Virtual Assistant is ill or away?

We will internally arrange cover for your support (if you would like it) for any time your Virtual Assistant is unable to support you.

How is YAY Collective different from other Virtual Assistant agencies?

Our wider team means we have access to a diverse set of expertise with no break in service. But just because we’re expansive doesn’t mean we’re not exclusive - we pride ourselves on the quality of our work and the dedication of our Virtual Assistants always.
